Perfect Image differs from other imaging solutions in that it utilizes a file-level protection system that allows the product to backup open and “in-use” files, creating a comprehensive backup system which combines the benefits of both disk-snap shot based and file-based backup approaches.
Incremental backup can be applied on the File & Folder backup, or on Drive & Partition backup, as Complement File backup to an image.
Save space by backing up only the Documents, Music, Photos, Videos & Emails YOU Select! Users now have the ability to exclude files or folders from a backup image. This can greatly reduce the size of your backup images by excluding unnecessary files such as music, movies, etc.
The Recovery Media Builder allows the user to create bootable recovery media on a USB flash drive, then boot the PC and perform any operations directly from flash drive in case of operating system corruption or boot problems.
Burn your backup archives to Blu-ray discs. A single layer disc can store 25 GB, more than five times the capacity of a single layer DVD.
Perfect Image now supports drivers larger than 2 TB, removing the old Master Boot Record format restriction.
Thanks to the Linux boot CD, backup and restore your Mac system. Perfect Image 12 can also perfectly handle Boot Camp partitions.

I played with this software, a lot, I use a lot of 64 bit pcs, and I use the Iso backup feature Alot, I have A 1.5 terabyte where I store all the backups, I dont do them everyday but I so do make sure it keeps itself up to date, and I can say every image ive ever recovered was a success. The backing file feature specific for those that want to target certain portions of the PC like your Outlook PST file, it will back it up. same thing with :
Mypics,documents,program files, ect ect..
very user friendly and comes with great information on how to get started and what to do. simple step by step.
Great for those backing up junkies.
I use this every day to keep my systems backed up and safe. It's fast and easy and I can have a system restored quicker than I can make a sandwich.
I especially like the quality of the tools provided when using the system as a boot and restore disc. I've recovered from a couple of viruses using this product and it hasn't let me down yet.
