it used to be a great program
After a recent update the malware side of the program no longer updates and or works. The company has released several fixes which include changing window files, downloading a clean up program which uninstalls the program then instructs you to reinstall it without updating the threat definitions. So far I have made over 12 attempts at reinstalling the program without success.
Never Buy this product if you want control of your system
Pros:Easy to use and install, and on the surface seems to perform as it is cleaning your system...but watch the other hand!
On the other hand, the program attacks and controls your system and files, making it virtually impossible to disable. After installing, I lost all use of my MS Office Suite as the registries were corrupted, I had no access to my personal information for a week until I could uninstall and restore my system back. Even so, I could not find my Key Codes to some programs and as I have Windows 7, could not find them in the registry as they are encrypted very well. I needed to repurchase some programs.
Furthermore, after uninstalling and restoring, there are a litany of files in my C drive under Avnaquest, that cannot be deleted, with a pop up window stating files in use by other files.
How intrusive and propitiatory this is, and has invaded my life and privacy.
CANNOT INSTALL FIX IT 11 BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO UNINSTALL FIX IT 10.
I HAVE USED EVERY THING INCLUDING CONTROL PANEL REMOVE. IT TELLS ME IT CAN'T BE REMOVED AS MY COMPUTER DOES NOT HAVE ANOTHER PROGRAM. WHEN I GO ON LINE TO TRY I COME UP EMPTY. THERE IS NOTHING IN THE BOOK ABOUT THIS PROBLEM THAT I CAN FIND. ?????HELP
Program sux, used to be the best, sorry, my opinion, from Version 4.0
Pros:You can find it on sale, with a rebate, usually at Staples. It does a lot, tons, if you know how.
They ruined my favorite program. It brings false results on the first screen, is difficult to use, and others hate is worse. I got about four copies of Version 10 for sale, made me look very bad.

I bought this and tried to install it. It kept telling me that I still had AVG Virus Protector so it wouldn't install the virus protector part so I uninstalled Fix-it. Now here it is 100 days later and I'm still trying to install it and little did I know that my subscription has been ticking away even though I uninstalled it right after I tried to install it. I'm getting the same message again about AVG. No matter what I do it just won't install. It seems like they could just make it delete any other virus programs if you want it to.
