It is simply must buy and must keep.
Pros:I and my colleagues have used it for six years now and it is just fun to get started with and dependable on an everyday basis. We all like the MySoftware series and really recommend all of the products they have. Bookkeeper is a classic of the 2000's and for future reference as well. Pros are its ease of use yet comprehensive.
Not good to mess up with both your accountant and Bookkeeper at the same time. Accountants just don't like it because it steals a job.
Prints checks
Can't fix mistakes in the transfer funds transactions.
If you want to do payroll you need to buy the tax tables.
Can't handle credit card fees from cc transactions
Can't handle bank fees.
Customer support is lacking.
None. I was never even able to get it run.
During installation it complained about other programs running. OK.... It still complained and wanted me to open msconfig to stop all programs from starting. I make my living on computers. NEVER in 11+ years of service have I had to do this to install a single piece of software. AND THIS IS ONLY ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE!!!!!
I made a educated guess and assumed it was having issues with my virus software or my firewall because I've run in to that issue before. I turned off that and it installed. It finished installing and restarted my computer. The first time I opened Bookkeeper my computer rebooted. I tried a 2nd time, it rebooted.... I tried running in my security software's safe zone it rebooted again.
By the way every time (2 people) I've asked someone what files it'll import they have said it would import qif. I got to their 2nd tier support to deal with the booting issue and that guy said it doesn't support qif. !@#$!@#$!!!!!
I have now just wasted 2 hours of my time dealing with installation to find out this wasn't going to work anyway.

Can't get invoices to send electronically without having to print the invoice first. Cannot send the invoice as a .pdf even though it's an option. Contacted tech support and they said I had had to install other software--that's already on my computer. I tried to leave 0 stars for this but the form wouldn't work until I made it a 1 star. Even though 0 stars is an option.
