I'll let you know if I find any.

Can't get invoices to send electronically without having to print the invoice first. Cannot send the invoice as a .pdf even though it's an option. Contacted tech support and they said I had had to install other software--that's already on my computer. I tried to leave 0 stars for this but the form wouldn't work until I made it a 1 star. Even though 0 stars is an option.

I and my colleagues have used it for six years now and it is just fun to get started with and dependable on an everyday basis. We all like the MySoftware series and really recommend all of the products they have. Bookkeeper is a classic of the 2000's and for future reference as well. Pros are its ease of use yet comprehensive.

Not good to mess up with both your accountant and Bookkeeper at the same time. Accountants just don't like it because it steals a job.

Prints checks

Can't fix mistakes in the transfer funds transactions.

If you want to do payroll you need to buy the tax tables.

Can't handle credit card fees from cc transactions

Can't handle bank fees.

Customer support is lacking.

Cheap. Fairly easy to set up.

Forget about getting any direct support from Avonquest. Everything directs you to some other site where you have to pay for any support. Even after doing that, I failed to get my problem solved. In reading the blogs where support is asked for, it seems to me all you get back are questions from the responder rather than answers.

None. I was never even able to get it run.

During installation it complained about other programs running. OK.... It still complained and wanted me to open msconfig to stop all programs from starting. I make my living on computers. NEVER in 11+ years of service have I had to do this to install a single piece of software. AND THIS IS ONLY ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE!!!!!

I made a educated guess and assumed it was having issues with my virus software or my firewall because I've run in to that issue before. I turned off that and it installed. It finished installing and restarted my computer. The first time I opened Bookkeeper my computer rebooted. I tried a 2nd time, it rebooted.... I tried running in my security software's safe zone it rebooted again.

By the way every time (2 people) I've asked someone what files it'll import they have said it would import qif. I got to their 2nd tier support to deal with the booting issue and that guy said it doesn't support qif. !@#$!@#$!!!!!

I have now just wasted 2 hours of my time dealing with installation to find out this wasn't going to work anyway.

It has tons of forms and letters. Wizards ask you questions, and fills in the form per your answers. Filled forms are saved, and become part of the list in the Main Menu for future editing or re-use (very handy).

Good help menu, including videos describing topics.

Legal dictionary, Estate planning guide, family legal guide.

Dead product. No updates, no support. Update button on Help Menu opens a webpage to an 'Online Update' button that is inoperative. Released in 2006, so it is OLD. A legal program should actively update its forms to stay in compliance with changes in the law.

I registered the product, but got no response from Avanquest. Half an hour of trying to communicate them led me to SoftCity. Avanquest makes themselves extraordinarily difficult to communicate with. Any company this reluctant to communicate with the people who keep them in business has something seriously wrong with it.

If you edit a form with the program's editor, it inserts a legal disclaimer (stating the form may be legally flawed because you modified it) that does not appear in the print preview. The disclaimer becomes the first paragraph on the printed form. When I click Print, I expect to print what I saw in the preview. The only way to remove the disclaimer is to export the document (as an rtf); re-edit the file; then print it. That's a lot of unnecessary work.

That printed disclaimer is totally unnecessary. The moment you move a form to their text editor, you get pop ups warning that changing the form may make it invalid. By the time you get to the print preview of your form, you would have to be brain dead to not know modifying the form runs the risk of altering its legality.

Unknown number of reinstalls. The License Agreement states you can install the program on one computer, and "The Licensed Software may contain enforcement technology that limits Licensee’s ability to install and uninstall the Licensed Software on a machine to no more than a finite number of times, and for a finite number of machines." The 'readmes' and other documentation do not mention it. If you uninstall it, it may not reinstall. More unnecessary secrecy.
