once I created a website (55 pages) and used avanquest to publish it for me..
I immediately had enourmous problems, first and foremost A. I received O I repeat 0 customer support except redirections to crap ex. ask a question. or phone numbers (3 differant ones incl. 1 out of service and one redirect to a pay-adult talk site) They never respond to my help tickets or request. there is no live talk help or even online tech help to respong to me. B. My website first showed up as one of the templates they provide not MY WEBSITE I made painstakingly. C. I republish next day and my website shows 2 pages without titweeks on this site)les or pictures or sound but the kicker is where was the entire content of my website? was 55 pages. My entire created site is saved carefully on the software I purchased as well as in my documents, the avanquest software is absolutly plaqued with terrible gliches and Is not as they advertise quote "create a website in 1 hour." It wont transfer or launch what is saved to the avanquest server or the programing is wrong. I dont want my money back ( I worked 3 weeks on this project) I want my website published in the internet like they said they will do. I was charged for a domain-naturally! and 3 months free hosting-naturally! ultimatly I have no website and nobody to help get it straight. I only see a sale of malware to customers who put their trust in this product. The customer is always #1

It sounds as though you are simply not selecting the correct package to publish. WebEasy works a proprietary .alb file format. When you are ready to upload the website, you must go through the build process to export the project to html. You must also then make sure you select the CORRECT package to upload to the hosting server. If you do not build the new html package, any changes you had made to the project will not be in the html package, since you are still using the old html package. All of this information and instructions are outlined in the program help, as well as our FAQ pages.
Upon reviewing the files that you have uploaded, I notice that there are several errors. For one, you have changed the html file type of a project from .htm files to .a files.
This means at some point you saved the website package with an additional extension, for example mywebsite.a.
When this occurs WebEasy uses the .a extension as a file type for the website. Using periods in naming the package changes the file type, because a period is generally what spaces the file name and starts the file type. It is generally not a good idea to ever use periods in a file name with any program.
After this all files will end in .a, which a browser will not recognize. Once the package name has been changed to something like .biz or .com, or in this case, .a.
How to change it back:
1) Remove the extension from the package name i.e. mywebsite instead of mywebsite.a
2) Go to the object inspector
3) Select the view document properties button in the top right hand corner
4) Then in the inspector window select the properties tab.
5) There is a property 'Html file type' that you need to set back to .htm This will allow you to build your site with a .htm extension again.
You may want to delete the old website files from your local build folder and the web server.
Once you have done all this, you will want to build the new html package once again, and publish this package to the hosting server.
Please click on Build >> Website(HTML)>>
Ensure the Index Page is set to index.html
Ensure that the Output Range is set to All Pages.
Check the Publish on Internet options.
Click OK.
If you are prompted with any boxes, click ok to proceed.
You will eventually get a yellow cue card open with a couple of options.
Click on the: Use Avanquests preferred Web Hosting Service (Recommended).
Click Yes.
The WebEasy Publisher should now be open. Select the option to Publish /
Update your existing account, and proceed with the wizard.
