We have 2 computers running System Suite 11 and both cannot update the Threat Definitions and run the Anti-Malware scan.
Computer one immediately gives error message "Threat definition updates are not allowed on this computer. Please Contact technical support for further assistance." when updates are attempted to be installed.
Computer two shows the download up to 100% and in the apply process of the Threat Definitions it stops and gives error message "The threat definitions update process has failed. Please try again. If you need further assistance, please contact technical support."
I have gone around in circles with tech support trying to find a solution with great effort.
So far I have:
Tried to see if the fix problems tab worked.
I have gone to the help tab in system suite and tried the Update Threat Definitions tab.
I have tried going to http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Home-Home-Office/VIPRE/Definitions/ and applying the latest definitions with the AVSupportTool.exe
I have tried disabling all firewalls
I have made sure no other anti-virus or security software is on the computer through add/remove programs and regedit
I tried "ipconfig /flushdns"
I made sure no corrupted downloads were left in the downloads folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avanquest\AntiMalware\Downloads and I cleared all I then cleared as many of the temporary files as I could %temp% and then tried to update the threat definitions with no success.
I tried to ping to make sure there was a connection and basicly everything this link suggests and leads to:
I tried entering the serial number in the help tab > about system suite 11 > enter serial number , and no luck.
I have tried running in safemode with networking, with no luck.
I have tried a clean install 3 times!
What am I missing? Please help.

Mike Stelmach says:
Please un install System Suite, then boot the computer to safe mode browse to the
C:Program files\Avanquest\ delete the System Suite folder. Then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\AntiVirus delete the Anti Virus folder
Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avanquest\AntiMalware delete the AntiMalware folder
Now look in the registry for the following key and delete it
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AntiSpyware
Also look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SBAMSvc and delete the key
Now re install System Suite and see if you can update.
