Activation of Stellar Phoenix photo recovery software

Being unable to upload photos to my PC, I scanned my compact flash card with Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery software and found all the images okay. I then purchased the software download but  I am unable to recover the images. An 'Activation Process' box has popped up asking me to enter the registration name and key exactly as given to me.I have the license key, but do not know what to put in the 'name' box as I have not been given any name to put there!I have tried my own name, my e-mail address, even the name of the product, all to no avail. I have looked several times at the e-mail sent to me containing the license key but there is no indication of a 'name' to use.

It seems like a simple question, but can anyone tell me what to put in the 'name' box?

I am now experiencing exactly the same problem - can't find any way to communicate with support as the product does not appear in the support website dropdown list.

Any answers out there?

Hi Allen,

I hope I may be able to help now.

I contacted the support staff by following the link below:

http://www.stellarinfo.com/support/

The version I downloaded (and paid for) from the internet was version 3.5.0.0. I was told to uninstall this software, and install an updated version, version 4.0.

http://www.stellarinfo.com/StellarPhoenixPhotoRecovery4.0.exe

They gave me a username and a product activation key and I'm pleased (and relieved)  that it worked first time! The software recovered all of my photos and I had no problem in uploading them to my PC.

(Why they are still selling the older version I don't know).

Therefore I suggest you contact support using the first link above and you should be up and running again soon (they got back to me in about 36 hours).

Good luck!

Steve Dodd.
