ResolvedError Message 0x5 gemerated by Update for Powerdesk Pro 8.

PowerDesk Pro automatically asks the user to update. When I try to update, I get an error message 0x5 Description: Invalid Registry Key. I am running Powerdesk Pro on Windows 7 64 bit.

I had the same problem, and found the answer to Peter Ledden's post on Aug 24, by William Balwanz. He suggested running PowerDesk, opening About under Help, and re-entering your product serial number (pretend it's a serial number change). I just did that and it worked. You have to run PowerDesk as an Administrator to have access to the serial number change option. Probably the entry for your product serial number was corrupted or deleted by a registry edit, and that causes the problem.
