PhotoImpact Pro 13 & Windows 8

I am running PhotoImpact Pro, Version 13, on Windows 7. The Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant indicates that an update is available but I am unable to find an update from within the program or on the Web

Bill,

There are no update for PhotoImpact Pro 13 available. If there was an update available, it would download and install from the Products Updates on the Web feature from within the Help menu in the program.

I ordered PhotoImpact Pro 13 because the ads say it is compatible with Windows 8, and I am about to upgrade to Windows 8.1.  I asked and asked via Amazon whether this is compatible with Windows 8, but got no answers, so I installed the program (which contains Corel MediaOne), and then ran Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant Report.

I too, like you, found that the program is not compatible.  But note that the Report does not list  PhotoImpact Pro13, It lists PhotoImpactPro.  And when I click on "Paid Update available", I get an ad for PhotoImpactPro 13.  I can only conclude that what I got on the DVD is NOT PhotoImpact Pro 13, OR THEY LIE.  I sent back my junk and asked for a refund (Amazon).

FROM THE REPORT:PhotoImpact Pro

Nova Development, Version 1.00.0000

Paid update available  (This is what shows)

 Corel MediaOne

Corel Corporation, Version 2.00.0000

Not compatible
