Did you get any errors while installing this? Have you tried to print using Lighting PDF yet and if so what errors did you get?

The first time I ran the installation, I got errors that it couldn't install the printer, but then ran the installation a second time and the errors didn't show up, so I concluded the installation was successful.  In any event, there is no "Lighting PDF" printer in the "Printers and Faxes" folder, as there was with Adobe.

What operating system do you have? Do you by any chance remember anything about the errors? Go ahead and uninstall the program again and then follow these steps prior to reinstalling it.

Please try shutting down all startup items in order to ensure there are no conflicts. Here is how this can be done:

1) Click the Start button.

2) Click the Run option. (Vista users will type in the start search here line.)

3) On the Run window, type in "msconfig" without the quotes in the Open field.

4) Click the OK button.  This will open the System Configuration window.

5) Click the selective Startup option on the General tab and uncheck the load startup item  option.

6) Click the OK button.

7) A window will open with a message indicating that it will need to restart.  Click the Restart button.

Once the computer finishes rebooting, please try again to see if the problem occurs.

If you wish to re-enable all your startup items, please perform the following steps:

1) Repeat steps 1-4 from above.

2) Click the Normal Startup option on the General tab.

3) Click the OK button.

4) A window will open with a message indicating that it will need to restart.  Click the Restart button.

When the computer finishes rebooting, all formerly disabled startup applications will have been re-enabled.

That did it - everything installed correctly.
