Some smartphones have solar panels on the back to run on power from the sun like the Samsung Blue Earth. In fact, if you bask this mobile in the sun for an hour, you'll get around 10 minutes of talk-time on 3G+networks. Of course if you have a Blackberry and an Iphone, and if you use it each minute (mail, Internet, TV etc.) perhaps Smartphone with solar planel is not for you. Neverthless, for the others, don't you think it is a good idea ? Don't you think it is a great and innovative tool?

This is a very good idea, although i'm not too sure it will work too well if the battery life is so short but im sure this will be worked on to try and make it longer!

I have to agree that this is a very good idea, but only if one they improve the battery life and two if you live in a location where your going to get some sun!

You don't need sun, but daylight, it's ok in any countries. Am I wrong? I like this idea, and they'll develop better technologies around it in the years to come.
