PC suites are the software included in phone packages, these software usually help you synchronizing your contacts and agenda from your PC to your phone, but also give you possibility to upload and download , pictures, videos and ring tones from PC to Phone and contrary.
I would like to have your point of view on the uses you have of the PC suites provided with phones that you own, is it helpful? which module do you often use ( contact synchronization multimedia studios...etc.)

My experience with such suites has been quite varied. I currently use iTunes (obviously) with my iPhone and iPad but I have played around with other phone tools in the past: the Nokia one (ages ago), the Ericsson one (briefly) and the Motorola Phone Tools a few years back.
The recurring issue with these software packages is usually hardware detection and, sadly, synchronization issues. I remember whole evenings spent trying to recover from some nasty address book synchronization issues with Outlook - all my contacts ended up doubled or corrupted for no reason.
In other words, I'd be extra careful if I had to mess around with such software suites again. iTunes has been a pleasure to use with my current mobile devices and I've never had an issue with it.

I have a Nokia 5800 so use their PC Suite which is rathe easy to use - I dont sync contacts but mainly use for updating the phones sftware, music, OVI Maps (Which by the way is an excellent product from Nokia). Due for an upgrade on my phone soon so maybe I will get some new software to play with!

I have been doing technical survey on Pc suites for about 5 years, I have always seen Nokia Pc suite as being the one that innovate the most, but it is weak in connectivity stability. The software update via application is quite helpful!
But SonyEricsson is coming with a brand new product that will rocks. I will be doing an article about it.

I use the HTC Sync application to install new apps. The phone syncs with my google account to save contacts, emails and SMS.
