I always run into the same problem, it appears that I use to similar of file names for my WebEasy8. I make a new folder for each and every design but when I go to Build it I run into a brick wall: Building this will probably interfere with another file, only one (Blah, blah blah, blah.
I have decided to save my WebEasy8 off on to discs. When I build a new design I will grab a new disc and start designing. This sounds like a lot of trouble but I have tried all other methods.
Is this practicle? Has anyone else run into this problem?
Anyway, it will help in clearing up one more program off my DeskTop in Windows 7. I need to do a lot of cleaning, screen looks like it's got leaprocy, Icons all over the place.

Hello John,
Don't worry about that message. As long as the package names are different, you shouldn't encounter any problems when building the html package.
html files in webeasy can always be regenerated if you do run into a problem, as long as you have the original .alb file.
I get that message several times a day because of the high volume of packages I work with. I have not had a single problem when publishing.

Becky,
What number have you been calling? Deleting older html files is a very easy process. It is simply a matter of deleting the folder containing the html package. By default, this is in the My Documents/Web Easy/Html folder.
But even without doing so, you should be able to create a new index.html file and upload those files to the hosting server. I am certain that if you contact our support team, we would be able to walk you through this process in a matter of minutes.

That conflict message used to bug me too, but since it truly does not mean anything, as in danger to your other files, I just ignore it and have for about the past eight years!

I really do not understand what is happening on your end. IS this the message that pops up?: web easy pro message
If it IS, it should not really be a problem. I just click through this message every time it pops up and here is WHY:
IF I have two pages (websites in your case, most likely) in the same directory, with different names, and I do the "Build > Website" I get the message pop up. BUT, since Web Easy Pro automatically MAKES a new directory for each page I build in this manner, there is never any REAL conflict. Web Easy is only WARNING that if the names are the same, there WILL BE a conflict. You can save the same package "over" the old package when you make updates, and all should be well.
I've never had ANY problems with the location of files or over writing of information, from one named file to other files.
I guess I really don't understand what is happening on your end. But perhaps we can sort this out... :)

Thanks for the help. Is there away to add meta tags to a new web site?

Eileen Brown says:
Hi Frank.
Yes, when you click "build >> Website" you get a screen with options before you build the HTML and CSS (or whatever) files. Click on the "Advanced" tab in the build window and THIS is where all the tags go. Click OK when you are done, choose the colors you want for your links and so on.
IF you want the pages centered, be sure to click that option in the advanced window.

Once again, great help. My previous issue [questions] concerning multiple web site still continues. When I work on two web sites and build the second, I get pages from both sites, ie., the home page might be from the second website and page 2 from the first website. There after the problem remains until I delete and start over. I have yet to do two sites.

Morn'n Frank :)
Are you NAMING each page, with a TITLE? They should not say HOME, LINKS, and such. The page titles have to be unique. This is where your naming convention should be followed.
The home page should be named (TITLED) for each website with keywords when possible. Unless your pages have exactly the same keywords, which should not be possible. The .ALB name and the title of each page should be UNIQUE.
To TITLE each page:
EDIT: Click EDIT in the lower left of the main screen.
PAGE: Now click PAGE in the top left of that window pane.
TITLE: In the top pane click TITLE.
Type in the name of the page - click OK.
~~~~
IF you are using a template this may affect the linking of the pages. SO be sure to check and see what the linking strategy is and change the page names in the link area IF linking is done by PAGE TITLE. If it is by page number, the links won't need to be changed for the links to work.
I build websites one page at a time, each in it's own directory utilizing a NAMING CONVENTION and so have never had the problem you are experiencing. Perhaps this article will help a little:
Eileen, thanks for you help. I have been searching for a solution but can not find one. How do you ensure the title of each page is H1. Everytime I have my page SEO analyis it comes back the same... no tile i.e. Proper Heading Tags
Eileen: i did find the answer. I need to use rich Text and not plain text to see the H1 tag. But thank you inadvance.
Eileen Brown says:
Hi Frank - No, you do not need to use rich text for the tags. You can assign a tag to any piece of text you wish.
The page TITLE is what you see in the tab in a browser. It is the name of a page. The page HEADER is what would have an H1 tag. This is a page's headline.
For plain text tags:
Click on...
Choose your text box so it is highlighted.
EDIT in the left pane.
TOOLS in the left pane.
STYLE in the top pane.
In the resulting box, click on "heading 1" and EDIT then MODIFY.
Choose your preferences and click OK.
You can now apply that heading tag to any other headers on the page.
Do the same for other tags you need on your page.
The tags will show up in inspector if that is what you are looking for.
