ResolvedWould'nt it be nice to be able to go back to previous comments to correct them?

As my English is so good!, I went back to read some of my comments, and I was shocked by the amount of error and erroneous senses I gave to some sentences I wrote.

Which leads me to propose a feature on Softcity.

It is about the possibility to edit previous comments and correct them while keeping traces of original comment in strike through.

This way, average English writer as me can correct words or means he accidentally published, while showing his original idea ( no cheating).

What do you thing about it? after all it is already possible in articles.

Nacim, we've received this request regularly since we opened the site. Your suggestion of striking the errors (and leave a trace of what was said) is a great idea. We'll definitely work on such a feature shortly. I'll keep you updated as soon as it's ready to be tested. Thanks for the feedback!

I think that Softcity should consider using language different than "! Report this". I feel that it has echoes of a police state ;)

Editing comments is a good idea - how about adding a spell checker and preview function? Those would reduce the number of corrections required.

Spell checkers a re already available in navigators, it just needs to be activated, but I guess not everyone knows about it.

Marc,

I don't practice this with this site but I usually type my message out on Word, correct it, and then "copy and paste" where I want it.

Here don't seem important how you say it, ain't a bunch of English teachers here.

I guess what I am trying to say, we are more interested in what someone has to say than how they say it.
