ResolvedFeatured Experts?

I might ought to address this in a conversation but I am here now and will ask a question.

How do you become a "Featured Expert" and you have written no articles, conversations, Q&A, or made any comments?  Futhermore, you haven't even filled out your profile?

I find this to be quite funny, in fact I find it very humorous.  It's like asking someone to become a member of a club and to intice him into joining, make him the president.  Some of the members might want to know his qualifications.

All kidding asside, I was just wondering.

I don't think I am qualified to answer this, as I do not know the exact coding, but I am pretty sure it pertains to the level of involvement in the category.

Even if you have not written an article, answering questions, posing discussions and so forth help build the community. I would assume the feature expert will alternate based on the most active users/members for a period of time.

But as I stated, I am probably not the most fit to answer this, and this is just my theory.

The reason I asked this is, on the SC update it listed somebody as Featured Expert that had not made any contributions.  I found this strange, that's all.

Good question John. John Rider owns several FAQs which are not listed in his profile. We will exclude these from the rankings and you should see him gone soon. Thanks for pointing it out!

Old man of 57 years.  Retired on disability.  Happy and alive.  I play around on the computer hoping one day to wake up and actually know something about it.  I love my coffee and the coffee shop I frequent.  My hair is long, past my shoulders and I have a thick full beard.  I look like a street person or a contract hitman.  When I get around to uploading a picture then you can decide.  I am a writter but not yet published.  I hope to finish my first book in six months.  You can inquire as to how to buy my book, if you wish.  Oh, most people don't like non-fiction where animals take on human characteristics and speech.  That, in-a-nutshell is me!
