My favorite photo manager is Windows Photo Gallery. Why?
Because I like its simplicity of use and the way it presents my photos. It's s light, fluent, and all the information is presented in a simple way.
But as a lot of software which I used, it has a lot of lake. The facial recognition is inefficient to classify my photos quickly. I can't upload my photos on many website (facebook, picasa, flickr,...) in one time.
What is your favorite photo manager? Why? And what do you improve on it?

For me the best one is Picasa, its amazingly fast, you can make small modification in the image without changing the original file, organize everything in folders, works in mac, pc and linux and it works with yout Gmail and blogger accounts.

Picasa is the one for me too! It's fast, free and has a lot of really cool features! Face recognition works great (after some training), you have plugins so you can upload your photos directly to Facebook, for example, you get the 2GB of free photo storage space on Picasa's website, you can create slideshows, collages and a lot more!
Plus, it can replace the integrated photo viewer in Windows and the new interface is really cool :D

I quite like google docs! You can upload and save everything there, which handily keeps everything in one place. For navigating through photos/creating slideshows though, linking to Picasa is good...
