So I ordered Web Easy 9 and I was told in a chat (somewhere) to back up the old version before installing the new one. I only have 3 sites that I used on Professional 8 and I would have to back up each one right? Oh I am so paranoid that something is going to go wrong. Would someone please help me? Step by step directions would be awesome! Thanks!

Hello Kathy,
Although it is safe to remove 8 and install 9, as it should not effect your files in any way, it is always a good idea to create regular backups of your projects.
For each file, you will first want to create a new folder in the location you will be saving the backup.
So you would need to create 3 new folders.
Then, open each project (one at a time) and click on File >> Save As >> Archive Backup and save it to the newly created folder.
