What is the exact wording to the entire error message you are receiving?  Also, which version of Windows are you installing this on and is that a 32bit or 64bit installation of Windows?

I installed the HGTV Ultimate Home Design, but when I try to install the Instant Makeover program, it says I don't have enough disk space on drive c:

Win XP SP3

C drive, 54.2 Gb

Need help

There is not enough space on c: to extract this package.

Sorry for the slow responses, I've been traveling on business.  The best I can tell on the version is from the name of the .exe. 

HGTCInstantmakeoverESD_06-23-11.exe

So I finally figured out a work around.  I used WinZip to extract the install files and then ran the installer.  Kind of a pain, but looks like it is going to be a good program now that I got in installed.

I am glad to hear that you were able to resolve your issue.  Is the version of HGTV that you purchased a download version of the program?  Or was this a boxed copy of the program?

It was a download from the Nova Dev web site.

I just wanted to provide you an update about this.  I tested a download for the program and got the same results as you did the first time I tried it.  I then downloaded it a second time and tried installing the new download.  This time it did not generate an error message.  I tried downloading it a third time and still did not receive the error message.  I think the issue may be that there was some sort of error when downloading the file the first time that caused the problem. 

Thanks for following up.  Good customer service!  I'm still learning the software, but it is a pretty good program and does what I was looking for.  Now I have to get started on the new projects I am creating for myself.  :)

I've downloaded the software twice (taking about a half hour each) on a fast FIOS network and Win XP sp3. I have the same problem - not enough space on drive C:  I don't even want to install it on drive C: as that's reserved for system type programs!

Please help.

I apologize for not responding to this sooner. I have been out of town for the last week and have been unable to keep up with SoftCity during that time.

This error seems to only appear when something happens to the file as it is downloaded. If you are getting this error, it is likely that the download has become corrupted. The best that I can suggest is to try downloading the program again. I downloaded the program again a short while ago and did not receive this error. So, I know the problem is not with the file on the server.

i had this software HGTV ULTIMATE HOME DESIGN (LANDSCAPING &DECKS) VERSION 3.includes INSTANT MAKEOVER.

I installed it successfully but the problem is i cant see the INSTANT MAKEOVER program,so i can edit my digital photos.there is no workplace the same  in the video tutorial(introduction),which you can see the ORIGINAL,PREPARE,COLORIZE.

I m thinking it is in a separate disc but i got only 1.so i thought its already included in the disc.

How can i work this out,i want that INSTANT MAKE OVER.tHANK YOU..

Did you purchase the download version of the program with a backup copy on disc? Or was this a full box copy of the program?

It should not take too much time to start the installation. From what source are you installing it from? Is this on a disc or was this a download version of the program?
