I have used this program successfully for years. in the last month or so the program will stop responding when adding graphics from the disk or from the HD. Sometimes I can added 3 or 4 images before crashing, other times it will crash while trying to add the first graphic. I have run CKDSK, DEFRAG, and checked for viruses on the HD -- no improvement. I "repaired" the program from the CD -- no improvement. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software -- no improvement. The PC is running XP, but I also have similar, but not quite as bad, problem on my Win7 PC. I am beginning to think that there is something wrong with one of the CD's since I have the same problem on two different PC's. I'm open to any suggestions or perhaps I could download a copy of the software and try that.

If the problem was strictly with the program or discs, you would have seen the problem appear from the very first time you installed the program. A problem that appears after a period of time indicates that something has changed on the computer and is causing the issue.
So, at the point that you started noticing this problem, do you remember making any changes to the computer? Were any programs installed or uninstalled from the computer? Was Windows or any other program updated during this time?
You may also want to consider programs that were installed/uninstalled/updated on both computers. It is not guaranteed that what caused the problem on one computer caused the problem on the other computer, though. Sometimes there is a correlation in situations like this. Other times, it is simply a coincidence.
As a side note, Scrapbook Factory 5.0 does not come in a download version of the program. At least, that is not an option for the program on the Nova Development website.
