the font in the drip down menu of card subjects is corrupted and unreadable. I tried loading the font package . I atried uninstalling and reinstall all to no avail

I am not sure I understand your issue. Are you talking about the drop-down menu that appears on the text edit toolbar that allows you to switch the font of the selected text to something else? Or are you talking about text that actually appears on the card projects?
