Hallmark Card Studio installation

I recently bought Card Studio 2012. When I tried to install it the installation program said I needed to install Microsoft.net Framework 3.5 SPI ( included on the disk). The computer churned a while then said that installation was not successful. Subsequent tries were also unsuccessful. Card Studio will not open. What can I do?

Quentin,

Hallmark Card Studio 2012 does require the .NET Framework to be installed on the computer. If it is failing to install it from the disc, then I would suggest that you install it directly from the Microsoft download site:

I was able to download the Framework 3.5 SPI from Microsofts site.  I finished the Card Studio Dowload and tried to open Card Studio with no success.  It says " Hallmark Card Studio has 2012 has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I tried several time with the same message coming up.

Quentin,

Did you install the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 after you downloaded it from the Microsoft site?

Yes, I installed it as well.  I still cannot open the Card Studio program.  When I put the installation disc in it still says I need to install the Framework 3.5 SP1.

Robiy,

When I just looked at all the installed programs .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 was not there.  I tried to run the installation program from Microsoft again and this time it said there was an error installing SP1.  I will try it again.

I tried it again and it came up with this message "An error occured during setup.  Installed files have been removed fromyour computer"

There is a Bootstrapper version I will try and install from Microsoft.
