Eric,

There is a known issue after installing the most recent update that will cause that problem. This should only occur if you go immediately to the Art Studio after launching the program. To get around this, you will first need to click on one of the categories, such as Birthdays, and then click the Home button before going to the Art Studio.

The developers are aware of this issue. It is something they are trying to fix in the next update for the program.

Robby E,

I hope the developers are also fixing the 'edit toolbar' which has vanished from my Hallmark Card Studio 2012.  Just once recently, I was able to see the toolbar peeking out from the right side of the Art Studio window, and dragged it in to view, but it has not been seen since, tho I have attempted to use it 20 or more times.  A friend who has the program, same version, has the same problem.  I have viewed the video tutorial and it doesn't work as the tutorial states it does.  This is very unhandy when you have a custom-made card with lots of elements that need to be moved and sized.

E,

There is no known issue like the one you described. I have never heard of anyone having this problem before. I just tested my installation of the program. The Edit toolbar appears on the screen when I enable it. I tried to move it outside the boundaries of the screen and it would not allow me to do that at all. So, the issue appears to be something specific to you and your friend's systems.

Have you tried reinstalling the program? If it is somehow retaining the location of the bar outside the screen's boundaries, reinstalling should reset all settings back to the default settings.

Robby E,

I did as you suggested and reinstalled Card Studio 2012.  After install & before grabbing updates, I, again found the edit toolbar peeking out from the right edge of my monitor, completely outside of the CS window.  I dragged it into the CS window and it stayed there, could not be moved outside again.  Then did 1 update, checked again and it was completely gone.  Did the next update, it was ok.  Then after the 3rd update(the last for now) it was again just one edge showing on rt edge of monitor.  So I grabbed it again and it now seems stable.  I did a screen grab of it when partially visible outside of CS window, can I send it to you somehow?

E,

Thank you for the information. I have never seen or heard of that problem before. However, the 2012 version is the first version to include that Edit toolbar as a separate floating toolbar. Also, it is turned off by default. So, it may very well be that it has not come up before because not many people have it enabled. All I can say for certain is that I have not personally seen this issue on any of the computers I run Hallmark Card Studio 2012 on and have not heard of anyone else reporting this problem. Hopefully, you will have no further issues with it.

Robby,

Thanks for your input.  Now that I am aware of the problem, I just make sure that I can see the right side of the monitor screen when I enable the edit toolbar and look for it over there, then click and drag it inside the CS window, where it will then stay as long during that session.
