Greeting Card Factory Deuxe Version 9

I can install version 7 OK but Cannot install version 9 get error 1935 0x80070005.

Tried most obvious things like registery, firewall, permissions etc. Is it a compatibility problem? My op syst is windows 7 32 bit not 64?

Have exact same problem with Hallmark Card Studio 2012 deluxe!

My windows updater is ok all updates installed

Wally,

Greeting Card Factory v9 is Windows 7 compatible. It should install and run equally well on either a 32bit or 64bit installation of Windows 7. A 1935 error normally indicates a problem within Windows. What is the exact wording to the entire error message?

OK here goes: Error 1935 AE56AAFS-F3C03D4B-8859-AIE50A3E27BF HRESULT 0x80070005 "An error occurred durng the installation of an assembly component"

I've done a lot of communicating with Window people and tried Registry, Servicew updates, isolate programs etc. By the way I get the same result with Hallmark Card Studio 2012 deluxe. Identical message.

I have no problem installing older versions of both programs

Wally,

Thank you for providing me that full error message.

The problems that you are experiencing is due to an issue with Windows. During installation, the program checks to see if certain Microsoft components are installed on the computer. If they are found, the installer skips them and moves on. If they are not found, the installer attempts to install those components. The error message you are getting occurs when it tries installing one of these components and fails. If I am reading the assembly component correctly, it seems to be trying to install Microsoft's Visual C++ component.

Unfortunately, I am not really an expert on the ins and outs of Windows. So, you may be better served by contacting someone that is more familiar with this sort of problem in Windows. I did a search and found a conversation on the Microsoft.com site mentioning the same assembly component. You may want to take a look at the suggested steps found there to see if they help resolve the issue:

As a side note, the code is actually "AE56AAF5-F3C0-3D4B-8859-A1E50A3E27BF". There appears to be a couple of typos in the code you provided. I only mention this because it may hamper your attempts to locate information about this if you do a web search with the wrong code.
