Would you abandon Windows?

Google employees are forced to abandon Microsoft's Windows operating system because of the security vulnerabilities of the system after what happened last month in China. According to the Financial Times, Google will change Windows in exchange of other operative systems including the Mac OS, Linux, and probably most possible Google's own Chrome OS operating system.

What do you think about this decision, do you think its a security issue or the start of a soon to be war of Operative Systems. Would you ditch your Windows computer if your company forces you?

Replacing Windows in companies is not that easy. Most of them use software that are only available on Windows.

I have a Mac at job, and it's fine, but I also have a desktop with Windows for some Windows specific tools.

At home, I use a Windows for the same reason, I can't find some software for Mac or Linux.

But if I could find those products for Mac, Linux, or better, online, I would change my windows (for Chrome Os if it's online).

Let the war begin :-D

Google has a long history of developing apps based off of the usage of their employees.  Wouldn't surprise me to see an OS come from this gesture...

Just saying...

I've already abandoned Windows at home and don't really miss it (although I never really was a Windows hater).
