What is the killer App of our time?

What do you think, which software application could be considered as the killer application of our time?

Or What sort of app should be considered as killer app for the sales and marketing?

Matt Lambert says:

No doubt about it - the killer app for sales and marketing is the google search engine. If that's not cheating.

The app i have been most impressed with is Google maps.

But i think the killer app of our time has to be Google search (and ad platform), what other can create 1000's of multi-million £ companies whose income is 100% sourced from it.

Think im starting to sound like a google fan boy

TomTom/CoPilot/any consumer SatNav App - The first time I ran TomTom on my mobile phone (an early Nokia Symbian), I remember thinking how powerful it had made the phone as a 'tool'.

Google, which isnt really an 'app' as such, wasnt the first search engine by any stretch, but has changed the world.
