Change color of screen outside area of web page

I am using WebEasy Professional 8.0. The width of my web pages do not fill the entire screen. I have centered the pages. This leaves "margins" of unused screen on both sides and outside of, the web pages. What is this area called and how do you change its color? I interpreted the questions of Bill Anderson and Kathleen Casper to address this issue but either the answers they received do not or I do not understand them.

Thanks,

Peter Cavanagh

Peter,

If you wish to use the same background color/image to fill the entire screen, build the page as "with centered view" instead of "with centered page".

Arthur,

Thanks for your prompt reply. What procedure do I use if I want the background for the web page to be one color and the background for the remaining screen to be another color?

Thanks so much for your help.

Peter

Peter Cavanagh,

To do this,

First you would need to select a solid color for the page background.
Once it has been placed, your page background will be that color.
Go back to the background color and then use either a gradient, or a texture (image).

This will then use the texture/gradient as the direct background, and the solid color around the area of the page that is greater than the page size.
