WIZARD OF OZ - Or how to get PC tools you may need installed in a single time

I know your sad... Yes I know it!

I saw you crying right after you get your new PC

I can read on your eyes that you are asking yourself this crucial question everyone has to think about at least once in human life

"Where to find all basic tools and softwares I need and how much time I need to spend clicking and typing before this new PC become functional so I can finally start working on it or just have fun with it?"

No panic, the magician is in the place

  • Easy
  • Fast
  • International

That's how you can describe the website I just discovered

It allow you to select your favorite tools and software online and install them at once

How?

It makes an installer that will include all the software/tools you pre-selected on the website and then you just need to click once to get all of them installed and in your PC's language, isn't this cool?

No more time spent waiting for an install to be finished to launch the next one, no more click on Next/Next/Next/Next/... buttons to get a single software installed and moreover you may also discover some tools or software in this selection that you haven't seen before.

Want to know who is this Wizard of OZ?

Step 1: Select all software you need

Step 2: Click on "get installer" and run it

Step 3: Enjoy your new PC

There is also a Pro/Paid version that allows you to install offline, store the installer on a USB key, run it on silent mode etc...

The bad is that their "Terms of services" say "Your use of the service is at your sole risk." so it's better to try it on a new PC (than on a PC where you have all your data)

Update: More bulk installers in following article (Thanks Miguel)

Miguel Esquirol says:

That's a nice page, but did you tried "AllMyApps" you can configure fully and save and share your software collections.

Nacim TAMINE says:

I was previously fan of ninite.com, but since I discovered Allmyapps, I changed my mind.

Ninite advantage is that you can install as much apps as you want, makes it perfect for quick use, but it suffers from the lack of choice (compared to allmyapps).

Allmyapps has so much more apps, games...etc, and you can select the language when available, but you need to login to be able to install more than 3 apps and it is not ads free guarantee...

Let's say ninite.com is quick while allmyapps is more exhaustive.

By the way, I think that this concept is called bulk installers.

Very cool indeed.

Wish I had seen this before; when this laptop was new, not so many months ago!
