If you’re unable to listen to video audio using your USB headset in Ubuntu. Sit back, relax and follow these easy steps.
In fact, it is pretty easy but not obvious.
- Install “PulseAudio Volume Control”
- Go to System \ Administration \ Synaptic Package Manager
- Search for “pulseaudio”
- Right-Click and choose “Mark for Installation”
- Apply
- Open Firefox, go to your video or sound page.
- Enable sound in Firefox
- Go to Applications (from Ubuntu task bar) \ Sound & Video \ PulseAudio Volume Control
- Select Playback TAB
- At the bottom right, select All Streams
- You should now see “ALSA plug-in [firefox]
- Click on the box and select your USB Headset
- Your done!
Now you can enjoy and watch your video without disturbing everyone around you.
