Mozy is now 2.0

Mozy is an Online data backup service. (click here for more)

It now upgraded to version 2.0 which features an improved interface, a claimed increased speed and new interesting features among which the local backup.

On can now backup directly to a usb drive.

To enable this feature, click on settings then Options, you have a new Tab allowing you to choose the letter of a connected Drive, where Mozy will create a Directory callled mozyLocalBackup.

There are not a lot of options for this local backup service : no groups, or multi drives, etc ..., but it is a good start.

We can expect some new parameters to appear in the next releases, so Mozy would become the only backup software you need for online/local backups.
