@ Camille: Just a clarification, Layar is maybe the first mobile browser with virtual reality (A.R.) on iPhone but not on Android :) where we get such apps a long ago
If I remember well Wikitude was the app to propose such concept with advanced features and before that there was another apps nobody know about: Google Street View ;)
Augmented Reality in it's raw form is a great idea and Layar does seem to be one of the best, but I still dont really see an everyday use for it.
Once we get a proper application, Google Navigation on the Android platform is almost there (if it used a live image from the camera, rather than loading one from Street View that would be true AR), I think it will become way more powerful. Until then it is not much more than an impressive 'toy'.
