It's been a while, quite a while actually. But it happened again this week and I was excited. I had to do it, could resist. I'm sure you know where I'm going with this. You've already had that feeling, right?
Early this week, a partner told me: "You have to check this app. It's awesome."
Yes, I confess, web, mobile and desktop apps captivate me. I'm always impressed by the skills of software developers. Everytime someone recommends an app, I'm proud of the developer community.
So I just installed Dragon Dictation and will finish writing this article thanks to its text recognition.
"So I finished installing Dragon dictation and I will see if it works well for me when I called and asked me if I wanted to sync my contacts names of the Web servers letters for data dictionary which I think it's a good idea if security does it doesn't seem to have my e-mail or phone numbers have been asked me if I wanted using this for brunch on German language is to use English and I will see you guys name so Richard Charles do you think"
So this is a #fail. I'm wondering if my french accent screws it up or if I need to talk slooooower. It's a failure because it's not accurate enough for me to use it but I am still impressed. It took only a few seconds for my recording to be analyzed and return the text. I will give the app a chance and try to use it for a little while to see if we can learn to live together.
Anyone cares to give it a try and guide me into the voice recognition world?
Here's a video of the recording... You'll be able to judge if it's the app or my pronunciation ;)
