Be a Cat with ChatChat

Those who know me know that I love cats!  Thanks to Ars Technica, I came across a rather interesting browser based MMORPG called ChatChat.  The instructions are simple, be a cat!

You use your arrow keys to move around, and the rest is exploratory.  As you uncover more of the map, you'll uncover secrets.  For instance, you can see that in the above screenshot I'm actually a dog!  Someone came up behind me and nipped me and then I became a dog.

There is a house to sneak into and treasure chests to find and open.

I haven't figured out how to change back into a cat, but overall the game is interesting to say the least.  To me, it feels more like a chat room that has a game component, but it's oddly satisfying to move around and interact with others.

You can use commands like /meow to play sounds like purring or screeching.  My cats had a physical reaction to the /screech sound, so it sounds like the bytes they used are based on real animal sounds.

There doesn't seem to be an objective that I can find, but the best kinds of games these days seem to let you roam around.  Try out ChatChat for free, and without signing up for an account at KongregateGames
