Add English support in Firefox correcting spelling

Recently, a French friend of mine asked me how to remove those annoying red lines in Firefox when you write an English text !

This morning, I realized that I had the same red lines in Firefox !!

I quickly found the way to not only remove the unnecessary red lines that are provided by the French correcting spelling, but to add the correct English spelling capabilities.

Follow these steps :

In Firefox, in any text field, right click your mouse, and go to the spelling items in the menu:image

Go, to the langues, (or language) menu item, then, image

click on ajouter des dictionnaires (add dictionary), and select the appropriate English dictionary and follow the steps. Last thing to do is to select the enw dictionary . Return in the menu (right click the mouse in an edit field), and

You can now select the language.

At the end, the red lines have disappeared, and you have your text spell checked in English !

Thanks my friend, you made me get 250 SoftDollars , at least !

Only thing I know is that its seems to be a built-in feature in Chrome :)

In the latest version I get a right click menu where I can select my default language, it also automatically detect web pages that are different from your default language and ask you (on top bar) if you want to translate the webpage
