Get Organized with Evernote

If you're anything like me, you'll find that you have a nearly endless capacity to forget things you need to remember. It's not that I'm forgetful... okay, well, I really am. But I learned a long time ago to take good notes. The problem? I forget where my notes are!

When I want to remember something, I have too many places to put it. Should I write it in my pocket notebook? On a cocktail napkin? Should I send myself a voice recording? An email? If it's on a website, should I bookmark it in my browser? Should I take a picture with my cameraphone?

Thankfully, the answer to all of the above is "yes." I can record information in whatever way is easiest, and keep it all organized in the same place with Evernote.

You can get started with Evernote at at www.evernote.com. Once you have a free account, it's as easy as typing a text note, snapping a picture, taking a screen shot, copying a website, or recording a sound file, and uploading to Evernote. Your information is immediately indexed and made searchable (including text in your uploaded images!), and you can also organize to your heart's content with tags and folders.

Besides the web app, Evernote apps are also available for Mac, PC, iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Palm OS, and Windows Mobile, so your account is available to read from and upload to, anywhere where you can access the web.

Get started today and never forget anything again... so long as you can keep track of your Evernote user name and password.
