Bookkeeper PDF not working

I have a brand new computer running Windows 7 64 bit.  I am on a budget so I downloaded Bookkeeper rather than fork out the $$$ for the leading business accounting software.  I hope I don't regret it, but I am off to a shaky start...

I cannot get an invoice to print to PDF.  Any time I try, it locks up the software.

I have never had Bookkeeper installed before.

I DO have Quicken installed for home finance management.

I don't have any other PDF printer software installed.

I tried going to printers and trouble shooting the PDF device.  It suggested making it my default which I did.  Still does not work.

HELP!

Hello Brad,

you need to startup the program by opening a company. Once company open you need to locate the file drop down in the upper left corner and select printer set up. Once you establish the printer (your own printer, not bookkeeper printer) the PDF files should print.

Hopes this helps.

I am having the same problem, and this solution did not work.  This worked fine on my old XP machine, but not on the new Windows 7 machine.

For those of you who have had this problem on 64 bit Windows 7 computers I have found the answer after hours of research, tech support etc. so I am sharing! The default on the Amyuni PDF printer in the Bookkeeper set up defaults to the LPT1 port, a left over from the 32 bit version. Simply Change the port on the driver to the nul port and everything will work fine! I got this from a tech at Amyuni, the developer of the PDF writer! Too easy of a fix not to share;0)

I have the same issue.  BK2011 Win8 x64.  HANG whenever I print an invoice to the Bookkeeper pdf printer.  Tried changing printer port to NUL:.  Also removed Print To OneNote (from Office 2013) that was sharing the port.  Still hangs.

Just bought the product and getting pretty sick of it.  NEED HELP!!!
